Jacob Riis | Program Director at Nordic Game, Organiser & Host of Nordic Game Discovery Contest
Born in 1971 in Copenhagen, Jacob started his career as a games journalist in 1998, as the editor for several games magazines. After working with several outlets including The Official PlayStation Magazine (Danish Edition), he dove deeper into the industry as the editor of “Manual” – the first industry-specific outlet in the Nordic region. There he was headhunted to be a part of the Nordic Game Program, which later turned in to the Nordic Game Conference, where he’s been serving for many years now, first as Communications Officer, and currently as CCO and Program Director. In 2017, he and partner Teddy Florea invented and introduced the Nordic Game Discovery Contest. The 15th regional qualifier of Season IV of the contest takes place at DevPlay Digital this year, hosted by Jacob, and not to be missed!
